Since you've all been helpful in my previous post, here's another issue. LOL

My little bro's 2019 Hybrid seems to be falling short on MPG. We're wondering if it's down to driving habits, a miscalibration, or something else. Has anyone faced this before?

Yeah... I've seen that happen and It's frustrating because you expect consistency from a hybrid, and then the numbers just don't add up anymore. funny enough it could be something simple, but the uncertainty makes it worse. I'd check tire pressure and maybe look into any recent updates or changes.

Checked the tire pressure and sure enough, it was abit off. Adjusting it seems to have made a difference but we'll keep an eye on the numbers. Any other pointers you'd suggest?

be more gentle with the gas pedal. A hybrid isn't a miracle worker and the camry isn't a racing car, so there are a few mpgs to be gained from driving a bit more relaxed :)

Will pass that along to my brother. Easing off the gas pedal might help his hybrid stretch those MPG numbers further. Thanks!

Absolutely, gentle acceleration is essential when it comes to hybrids. The electric assist really shines with smooth and consistent inputs. Don't forget to check your tire pressure, and be sure to let the engine warm up adequately while in hybrid mode.

Good catch on the tires @CamryDiaz_04. Beyond that, keeping a steady foot and letting the hybrid system warm up does wonders for MPG. Also, using eco mode and avoiding short, cold trips whenever possible can make a bigger difference than people realize.
