So it's my first time owning a new car and I have a few questions. I did some cheap ceramic coatings on my previous ones, but I'm not sure what to do with this one. Is ppf a good idea and then apply a ceramic coating or is there a better combination?

Congrats on the new car, PPF is great for blocking big stuff like rocks, ceramic helps with keeping it clean. Do both if you want it looking fresh longer. Either way, you'll still be washing it thanks to random life events.

PPF combined with ceramic coating is a great choice. PPF helps shield your car from chips and scratches, while ceramic coating gives it water repellency and a nice shine. Typicaly, folks apply PPF to the high-impact areas and then cover the entire car with ceramic coating. If you're looking for a simpler DIY option, just using the ceramic coating works fine, but for the best protection, having a professional install PPF is definitley the way to go
