Thought my teen’s Camry would be easy to fix

My daughter's 2024 Toyota Camry SE took a hit backing out of the school lot (don't worry, she's okay), and the parts prices floored us. Headlight cost more than the door and fender together. For those with newer models, do you plan for this in your insurance?

The headlight prices are no joke on newer cars. Honestly, I experience the same problem with my old car at present. I guess it's just the market nowadays. I bumped up comprehensive coverage on my new car just for stuff like this. I must say it's worth the peace of mind.

How do you decide on your insurance coverage limits, do you factor in the high cost of OEM parts for newer models, or just stick with standard coverage and hope for the best?

Thank you for confirming it ain't just me. Peace of mind is what I'm really after now. I used to just have regular coverage but seeing a single headlight cost this much is a wake up call to review our limits.
